What I’ve been loving this past month….
🌸 blood oranges are at the end of their season & I’ve been dehydrating for summer spritzes. They look so pretty, even just sitting in a jar.
🌸 Table set for a family dinner to celebrate one of the boys’ birthdays. Any excuse to set a table & I’m there.
🌸Beef steak pie has been on repeat. Such a winner. Recipe in my Substack recipe library. Or just ask !
🌸 Dinner at Lou Lou. French done very well.
🌸 Marmalade & cottage cheese on toast. Some days I just feel like toast for breakfast & this is so satisfying.
🌸 Sandy Lounge. Recently opened on Clontarf beach. Perfect for afternoon drinks.
🌸 Pablo & Rusty coffee for our home barista. The best.

Do you have anything you’ve been loving atm. Please share !

A healthy jam that’s so easy to make. Use fresh or frozen berries, a squeeze of lemon juice and chia seeds to thicken it. That’s it. If you’d like a sweetener add a little maple syrup or honey but often the berries are sweet enough on their own.

It’s ready in under 10 minutes and keeps in the fridge for a week. Delicious on toast or swirl into oats or yoghurt.

The full recipe is in this week‘s newsletter. You’ll find the link in my bio.

My new go-to breakfast: ALMOND & FLAXSEED BREAD topped with cottage cheese, blueberries & a drizzle of honey. So good!

High protein & high fibre with healthy fats that keep you satisfied until lunch.

Plus it’s super easy to make. 5 mins to prepare, 30 mins to bake. Recipe on 3rd slide. Or download from link in bio or just ask me for the link. Enjoy 🌸

Blood orange season is here but not for long. I’ve got the dehydrator out so I can enjoy them in the months to come. I use dehydrated segments to decorate cakes, add the finishing touch to platters and in cocktails of course.

Grab a bag when you’re placing your next Self Catering order. You’ll find all our menus with prices at www.acutabovecatering.com.au

Blood oranges are only here for a few more weeks. These are one of the few fruits we don’t import. So I’ve got the dehydrator out so I can enjoy all year round.

I’ll use them in herb bouquets, to decorate cakes, add a finishing touch to platters & for cocktails of course.

My favourite healthy sweet treat. Caramely, chocolatey, chewy goodness!

Slice a Medjool date lengthways, fill with peanut butter, then dip in melted dark chocolate. Sprinkle with salt for the final touch. Chocolate & salt are a match made in heaven. So good 😊.
